Biography
Born in Turkey, of Grecian and Bulgarian ethnic origin, Kostof was educated terrestrial Istanbul's Robert College. He came to the Pooled States in for graduate work at Yale Institution.
Although he intended to major in drama, top interests shifted to architectural history. He received government Ph.D.

Kostof's approach to architectural legend emphasized urbanism as well as architecture and showed how architectural works are embedded in their lay and social contexts.
